I'm up to 7 calls from this # today, at my work number. I'm no longer even bothering to pick up (I was leaving the receiver on my desk, not saying anything, till he hung up). How fun! (Sarcasm)
I received a call from this number at my work yesterday. In a thick Indian accent, a man asked for someone who is out of the office for the week. Then, he asked how old I was. When I told him that was an inappropriate question and a personal matter he argued with me for a few minutes about whether that was an inappropriate question. His best argument was that an inappropriate personal question would be if he had asked me for my weight or bra size. At that point, I asked him to take us off the list and do not call again.
I have no idea why my age would have been relevant to the purpose of his call.
Male called today and asked for someone who no longer worked here, then he said his name very slowly and asked if he worked there, and I said no. Then he asked if this was my direct line or the main line and I said it was the main line.
These other posts remind me of a call I got about a month ago from some indian guy asking for the CEO and was yelling at me because I wouldn't transfer him. He kept saying, "listen lady!"
Two calls within five minutes, evidently the same Indian male referenced above. first call asked for someone who doesn't work here, said he had been transferred by campus operator; second call, he
hung up immediately.
I just received a call from this person with an accent (not necessarily Indian) and he asked for me by name, then asked if I wanted to go on a date with him, and I tried to clarify why he was calling and where he was calling from, and he said Nike. And then he asked if I wanted to "come on a date with me" and I said, no, thank you though, and then he was hanging up and said "[***] you."
So, there's that.
