what john said..... they called me too. there was just an article in the star ledger a few weeks ago about how much morris county, nj police earn..... I'd like to know why this town needs 56 cops???? Its ridiculous....
I keep getting calls from them. I never answer but it said NJ FOP.
I'v been blocking thier number on my Comcast Phone, but they call back on another number.
856-295-5576, 856-295-5587, 856-295-5606, 856-295-5642.
has anyone gotten another number from them, I'll block it too.Caller: NJ FOP
... read in NJ Monthly magazine that these police solicitation calls are BIG scams. Do not give. 99 cents of every dollar goes into the pocket of the guy making the call (who is probably a "disabled" cop, collecting a pension of 75% of his 100,000 + per month salary for the rest of his life.) Save your donation for a real charitable causes - foster kids, toys for tots, shelter animals, anything you support and believe in - someone who needs the money and will put it to good use, do not "donate" to someone who is no longer working but collects more government tax/subsidy money than you earn working all year !
Yes, these people keep calling over and over again. I actually have a brother-in-law who is a
retired Newark police officer and is collecting a $90,000/year pension plus full medical benefits
for both him and his wife. They live in Morrestown, NJ in a million dollar plus home but complain
they 're poor. We should be so fortunate. I just tell these callers we do not make donations over
the phone and we have our own charities that we contribute to. Please take our name off your list.
At one time I made a donation to this organization before I found out all the facts about them and once informed, I decided not to make the donation. These people called me at least 10 times a day about
my contribution that they didn't receive, despite my telling them I changed my mind. They became
real pests, to say the least!
