She just called my office asked for one of my bosses I said he is unavailable and she said "figures its Friday" and hung up. She then calls 2 minutes later again and asked to speak to the other partner in my lawfirm and I already knew it was her so I said "no and hung up. I further went and called the number back after reading some comments on here and said remove my number from the calling list and she sucked her teeth and hung up LOL. She never identified herself or her services
She called asking for the boss, and when I said he wasn't in the office, can I please take a message, she hung up.
I called her back several times until she finally picked up and I told her that I was the business owner and she said, "I must have had the wrong number." and she hung up again.
So I called her from my cell phone and when she picked up I quickly explained that I was the person she was calling the office for and asked what she needed. She said she was from MetLife and wanted to speak with the owner about insurance.
At that point I asked her why she kept hanging up and she explained that she does thousands of calls a day. So I interrupted her and said "So that's why you don't have time to talk to people and just hang up on them?" She said that she was sorry if she offended me and I told her that we already have insurance and to please take me off of her calling list. She then replied with, "No problem, God Bless."
This weeks edition of *~who the F do you think you are~* features the worst of the worst telemarketers: "APC, this is Manda, How may I help you." 'can I speak to Alan?' "may I tell him who's calling?" 'this is tanya reid with AIG', "and what is this regarding Tanya?" 'a personal matter' "you will need to be more specific" 'no, I don't have to be more specific' CLICK. She f'n hung up on me when I questioned who she was and why she was calling. Wanna play that game? Oh it's on. You don't hang up on people when they ask you questions. She didn't know if I was a secretary, a spouse, a kid, a murderer... nope. just assumed she was better than explaining who the F she is. Rule #1. You want to talk to Alan you best be DAMN specific about why you are calling. Rule #2. If you refuse to be specific expect to be hung up on. It's that simple.
