Do not give your social security to ANYONE over the telephone.
Anyone who sells Insurance in these United States requires a license if you dont see a license number, do not go there! People are lining up out there to steal your hard earned money. If you get an unsolicited fax regarding a health care offer that sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true. So when you do get taken, complain to everyone, the FCC, your State Attorney General's Office, Your State Department of Insurance and the BBB (Call the BBB office closest to the headquarters of the company that hosed you). To recap, Don't give your checking or Visa/Mastercharge accounts to people you don't know. Really, you don't need the head aches.
We did the same thing. We talked to a Jeanette and signed up. After seeing all those that didn't receive their cards or paperwork we also reported them. We then called them and asked for a refund. We did get it, so keep trying.
