Same here, nobody in New Jersey that I know or care to talk to. I use Avira for blocking unwanted calls. Easy to use and it's free.

Caller ID shows "Senior Alert".  Did not answer, do not plan to if future calls come in!  Just another scam.  Guess it can be grouped with the other scams, spoofs, politics, collections, and "whatever" that constantly come in!  They are all the same to me,...just garbage!

Don't punch any numbers.   When they tell you to push 9 to be added to their do not call list you are actually signaling to their robo-call center that you are a "live" number.

I would be interested in knowing how many persons responding to this 800Notes chatline are over 65 years of age. I honestly do not believe that I ever received all of these calls prior to the time that I enrolled in Medicare. It is quite obvious that these scammers are working from lists that they have to be made available to them, one way or another. It would seem to me that any and all records regarding Social Security and Medicare information should be private, and not available to those who are not genuinely authorized to have access to this information. These scammers will continue to operate until Congress actually passes laws that will give the government greater powers to go after these crooks. Efforts are being made in this direction, but it will require a lot of pressure from the general public to get them to pass and enforce such laws. Also, the various telephone companies, both line and mobile, will have to be compelled to crack down on these scammers. Also, it will require the outlawing of any and all spoofing services that enable these crooks to use phoney telephone numbers to prevent tracking down their true identity. Additionally, all cell phones purchased in the US should require proper ID to purchase, and contain an identity chip to track the purchaser's name with the cellular company (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc.) that provide such service to the owner/purchaser of said phone(s). Also, a record base, provided by the various carriers, should be kept, in an effort to see if these phones are being transferred to, or used by others than those to whom the phone was initially issued. Such measures will only be taken by these companies, if they are compelled to do so by the federal government. They, of course, will resist such actions, and employ their legions of lobbyists to try and stop meaningful oversight, since it will require them to actually engage in efforts to, at least, cut down, if not eliminate the scammers that utilize their services. CONTACT YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESS REPRESENTATIVE TODAY AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO TAKE ACTIONS TO STOP SCAMMERS AND THEIR NEFARIOUS ACTIVITIES.
