This number called our business today at 1032 hours. Caller ID said "Clementon NJ" so I knew there was a 99% chance it was yet another scam artist. I picked up the receiver slightly and put it right back down again. Then I blocked my number and called it. Sure enough, a recording picked up immediately, telling me that if I want to be put on their do-not-call list to press 9. I knew that was b.s. because I had blocked my number and scam artists don't care if you don't want them to call. Plus the number is VoIP, a prime tool for scam artists around the world, and the owner's information is blocked "for privacy reasons," (i.e. it's a scam artist who doesn't want the law to be able to track him/her down.)
Several calls from this number to my cell phone over the past months. Last message was re: how to save energy costs. And yes they do say to press 9 to opt out. Total scammers. Annoying thing is that I know of no way to block the number from ringing through on my cell phone.
If you have a smart phone and they don't allow blocking, assign a silent ringtone to the number. Yeah, your phone will technically ring but you just won't hear it. Google "silent ringtone" and you'll find many that you can download.
energy scammer. Tried to confuse the autobot voice message and he got so confused he hung up. So don't know if they just wanted me to switch energy providers and pitch a solar scam. But either way, I wouldn't do business with a company that makes illegal phone calls.
