My company received a call from this number. I was fortunate enough to answer the phone for this one - I do love to play with my food before I eat it.
Caller: "Hello, may I please speak with the owner?"
Me: "Can I get your name please?"
Caller: "I'm looking for the owner."
Me: "Is that your name?"
Caller: "Is the owner not available?"
Me: "How do you spell that?"
Caller: "Look man, I'm just trying to talk to the owner."
Me: "Oh? And who is this?"
Caller: "... My name is Danny."
Me: "Hi Danny, and who are you with?"
Caller: "I'm trying to get you better search results on Google."
Me: "Oh, so you work for Google?"
Caller: "Yes."
Me: "Ok, and what is this call regarding?"
Caller: "We just need to verify some information about your company for your online results."
Me: "Alright... and what is your telephone number?"
Caller: "Uh... I need to call the owner. If now isn't a good time, I can call back."
Me: "Oh, I see. Ok, let me see here... Mmhmm... ok, so your phone number is 856-441-6896?"
Caller: "... ... ..."
Me: "Danny, is that your phone number?"
Caller: *click*
I tried calling him back at that number. I wanted to let him know that we were somehow disconnected. But the line doesn't go all the way through. Too bad...
Called with a name who he thought was my son and asking about his step mother's name...no marketing here. Pretty disturbing. Good thing someone's always home and well armed. We know how to deal with unwanted visitors.
