Received call from 856-555-0168 with caller id "Dir Asst NJ"; however, it was an east Indian male trying to tell me something was wrong with my computer. This is the 3rd type of call I have received where they try to get you to go on your computer and I assume give them some information that they can use to harm or steal from you/your computer. They tell you that this is a very serious matter and that you may loose data from your computer unless you follow their diretions.
Just got a call from this number........Microsoft tech my ars. This is a scam and they will take control of your computer. They will "show" you how many errors are on your computer and drive you nuts. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING BUT A HANGUP FROM YOUR END!
I live in Sherbrooke, QC, Canada, just got a call from the same number. My husband answered he doesn't talk English so all they got at the other end is a hangup!
I live in Montreal, Qc and this guy with an Indian accent called up (He said his name was "John") and said I had downloaded some software on the net that could have damaged my comp. Lotsa noice "chatter" in the background and couldnt quite make out what apu was sayin anyway so I told him I was'nt interested and hung up. Scam all the way.
He told me I was having trouble with my computer, I told him I didn't have a computer. He told me I was lying, He told me my address, I told him I didn't live there, then I told him to get on his camel and go home. He hung up.
Today 5/21/15 @ 2:30 pm received call from 856 555 0168 - I asked who are you and a male asked if this is F------ Richard.
I put the phone down and walked away.
