Continuing to receive calls from this number. An automated voice asks if it is someone (not currently related to this number), asking me to "press 2" if it is not that person. Pressing "2" has no effect... the automated voice keeps asking if it is that person, and a few days later I receive the same call.
I was being harassed by numerous debt collectors, someone had given my cell phone number. Even though on my voicemail it stated my name was Lauren and they looking for a Cynthia. I finally got tired and called 311 and asked for the non-emergency police dept. I was told to write down everything they said and call the direct number that they leave. When the person picked up (stating their name) I then informed them that they were contacting the wrong person. I now had their personal name and had contacted the police department. I told them that if they did not take my phone number off their incorrect contact list I was going to hang up and file harassment charges against the company and that particular person. Slowly "debt collector" by "debt collector slime" I stopped receiving their obnoxious phone calls. Hope it helps.
Been getting a missed call either with no message or a vmail with a computerized voice looking for someone,,,,NOT ME....Press 2 if its not you, and that function does not work. I called them today and went off on someone and told them Im going to file a harassment suit if they do not stop calling my phone and the guy said he got rid of my number, We shall see. I was livid when I called there.
Had a call on my answering machine asking for John ________. If I am not that person interrupt the call, (hard to do when you're not there to do it). They called again, when I answered they asked for John (same last name as the call on answering machine), I said "there is no John here", she said "how do you know I'm looking for John if there's no John there." I said "you asked for John", she said "I asked for Joan", I said "I thought you said John." She said do you live at ________? I said "yes, but it's a mobile home court and a lot of people live here, she did not give me the trailer #. I asked her how she got my address and phone number in connection with this person and she hung up. She was very rude. I then called them back and asked their company name, she said it is ACS. I told her someone called looking for John and when I asked how she got my address and phone number she hung up. I told her there is no John here, never was and if they keep calling I will report them. She said "Oh well, do what you have to." So I will
