>>> No problems, lets not over-react here all you silly paranoid conspiracy people... <<<
Anyone who bot-calls and doesn't leave a message is an 'illegitimate bottom-feeder' by ~definition~, in case the distinction escapes you. All IBFs are blocked from my phone by 3rd-party software after they don't leave a message.I use this board to confirm that a caller is an IBF. Caller ID logs how many times and when the now-unheard parasites attempt to clog my phone line, their Luddite bot automation apparently not of sufficient intelligence to interpret repeated disconnects on the first ring as a number to remove from the sucker list. The Caller ID could read 'Mother Teresa', to no avail: no message = no credence. The charities hire the same bottom feeders as everyone else. Show the charities the error of their ways by ~never~ donating in response to a bot-call.
The day will come sooner than later when these parasites are simply blacklisted from all cell phones and will have to find an alternate method to contact the feeble-minded 2 - 3% who respond to annoyance advertising techniques with anything other than 'get off my phone you big dope!'
Who would attempt to belittle the problem on these boards? Either someone who is very lonely or a parasite agent in troll mode. What the agents of the parasites should be concentrating on is getting a job that creates real value rather than draining people's time and patience for nothing,
Paranoid? These idiots continue to call me even after I told them that I was not interested in renewal of my subscription. Obviously you haven't received another 5 or 6 calls yet.
856-778-9082 comes up as AAA RETENTION on a caller ID. in a reverse search comes up as a cell. however in doing research it seems this is coming up as AAA RETENTION AS MENTIONED ABOVE. & is a scam. simply block these people on your phone.
Do NOT call the number you see on your phone back and take it at face value. OF COURSE, if you do, they will say they are legitimate. They will even have info that will make you feel comfortable that it is legitimate. Thank them, then call the actual company they are calling concerning. The number should be on your monthly statement or on your online account. If there is an actual problem, you take care of it at the verifiable source directly There are TONS of scams out there using actual real information. Don't be fooled!
