I didn't answer, but when I called back, I got an accented gentleman answering the phone with, "Internal Revenue Service, how can I help you?" and a lot of background noise. I've had payment plans with the IRS in the past, and I can assure you they do not make phone calls. They do everything by mail.

They said a lawsuit was being filed against me. Then said the police were coming to a very old address of mine. I hung up when he started yelling at me.
I got a call with this number to call back, threatening IRS legal action against me. I did NOT call back. I work at an accounting firm and get mail from the IRS all the time. They do all their business by mail, NEVER by unsolicited phone call.
