Got a call.   This was Charles Schwab Mortgage.  I have a mortgage refi application in with them, so it's an 'expected' call.

I discovered that this is a "Mortgage Processing Center."  While MY mortgage was through Charles Schwab, they also process mortgages for other oiginators.   If you have a mortgage loan in process, that's what it's about
