I answered this time. The caller represented herself as from Synnex, (a major distributor for computers and equipment, with whom I have an account). The caller offered for me to receive an email about a new promotion from HP (also valid). It appears this is a telemarketing firm which is an outsource from at least one valid source. I updated my email with her, and with the next call, will request calls to stop. I feel it will be handled properly.
The caller left a message on my voicemail stating they were calling on behalf of the Symantec Partner program. They recently sent me a free copy of Norton Internet Security 2007 and were following up to see how I liked it.
