You can also report them to your state's Attorney General - www.naag.org - you can find your state AG at this site. It's obviously a scam - a legitimate debt collector would have no problem mailing that debt validation latter out to you. They would also not keep calling your relatives and disclosing the reason for the call - yet another FDCPA violation. In which case, you could turn right around and sue them.
