Person called asking for a specific senior manager, stated she was with Federal Supply, and that this was about as GSA contract. When I asked her what government agency she was with, she stated GSA.
However after reading the posts here I know it's a scam/telemarketing. Although very convincing at the time with the lies!
Got a call from Shanna Freeman 864-551-2485 x3004 - same thing...5 year no bid GSA contract. Figured it was a scam but went on line to check it out before deleting the message
Received a call from Cedric Byrd today, wanted to talk to the "Owner" Smelled fishie to me. He wanted the "owner" to call back @ 864-551-2485 ext. 3026. I looked gsa up on the net and found this site. People now-a- days will do anything to make a buck. I think they are CROOKS! Don't call GSA Preview for nothing unless you want to loose your money for nothing.
Just received a call and I am the government contract POC and this lady would not even talk to me. Insisted on speaking with the CEO. When I asked about which of our product lines she wanted to sign us up for she could not answer. Since I have been doing business with the government for 10+ years I knew this sounded fishy. Didn't even pass the note to the CEO, no need to waste his time. Tom T - 18 Aug 2009 is correct. All bids are competitive unless sole source. Most are listed at fedbizopps.gov So don't pay for any assistance to get on a governments list. The gov will help vendors no charge. Call your local DCMA office.
They call and ask for owner of business, I give standard he not in office today. They say this is GSA Preview, and go into a sales pitch and eventually leave a number and extension to call back.
They give the impression that they are the GSA and it is important to call back to follow up.
This is a pain in the rear, because we do have some GSA contracts, and it leads to considerable confusion keeping the legit and illegit calls sorted out.
