Children's Cancer strikes again. It's a shame that people are STEALING money that could go to legit research on and assistance to children with cancer.
I am glad to see that people understand that any donation sent to these telemarketer's will go into some scammer's pocket and not for research for childhood cancer. Never donate to anyone who calls you on the phone. You have no way of knowing where this donation would go. Almost certainly it would go nowhere except some con's pocket.
An organization called "Children's Cancer" has an unsatisfactory rating with BBB charity online. You are so right to be careful when solicited by phone or mail when not sure who is contacting you.
Unfortunately, the DNC list does not apply to charity or political calls. If you ask the charity or political caller to remove your name and number, most that I've dealt with have removed my name from their calling list.
Ones who don't are most certainly scammers.
They call early in the morning,midday and around 8:30 at night.They don't leave a message and sometimes when you answer there is nobody on the line.Called ID says Anderson,SC.
