Just got a call from these scammers. They asked to speak to my husband. I asked who was calling. She gave me a name and said she was from the IRS. I immediately knew it was a scam. I said "Sure you are. We don't fall for this scam crap." She said "Shut up you stupid b****." She didn't let me finish my response to that before hanging up.
Received a call from a woman calling herself Lisa Isaac from the so called the IRS. She said somone filed a lawsuit against my husband and I, for $4580.00 and they were going to freeze our accounts, confiscate our assets, home, cars and anything else we have, plus our income checks and report us to as fraudulent tax evaders to our place of employment. She was going to record our conversation, but I said I am going to get my lawer and tax preparer and call her back..she then said nothing back except good bye. I have blocked her number and I am so thankful I gave her NO INFORMATION.
if you get a call from the IRS, know this, it's a scam and hang up. The IRS doesn't call on a phone, the write letters.
A man calling from GW Financial 864-642-3179 called telling me they had done an audit on our taxes for 2008-2013 tax years. I interrupted him and told him this was a scam and it's being reported to authorities. I hung up. 864 is an area code from South Carolina.
