I strongly suspect this was a scam using a spoofed number off someone's legit personal phone (I found a personal listing). It is my area code, from which I only rarely get bad calls, yet when I answered, the guy at the other end started muttering from a script he was reading. I'm not even sure what he was selling, as the script didn't get to the point.
Got a call from this number. It is also my are code so I assumed it wasn't a bad call. When I answered there was a beep and he mumbled "hi how are you doing this is ?bail bonds?" (I have no idea Exactly what he said. I said "what" and he hung up! Definitely a SCAM!!!
Local number probably spoofed. Upon answering, there was a tell-tale delay of a call center. Caller identified himself as "Steve from National Monitoring." I tried to ask him politely to put my number on their do-not-call list, but the butt-wipe hung up before I could finish my sentence, which I suppose means they do not wish to adhere to federal laws.
