I received a call from this number and upon answering saying this was my last chance to lower my credit card debt and if I was interested doing that then press 5. Some lady picked up and said something to the effect of "So glad you picked up and want to lower your credit card debt and interest rate with us", to which I replied "I'm glad you called, and I love to save money where ever I can." She was stupid enough to take the bait. So what do you do when you have a fish on the line? You reel it in!!!! LOL. She went so far as to give me a [***] CC bill amount, etc. Then I told her that she knew my bills better than I did because I only have one credit card and its balance is paid every month. Then all I heard was click. I tried calling the number back and just get a fast busy tone. Worthless [***].
Call rang a brief 3 rings and no vmail. I tried to call back and no msg except to call Verizon at *611 I wasn't going to hold "20 mins" so I looked here and saw it's yet another phone scam!! I get them for free cruises to the Bahamas from Florida, and a different one of a radio show with a "trivia game (that randomly calls me?!!) to answer 3 questions for a free cruise"!! Despite having placed my cell phone number on the National do not call list, I continue to get these calls. They usually have only a city and state with the number and now I know not to ever answer those. In the past as soon as I'd say, "This call is recorded proof and forwarded to attorney general for fining $1500 per call since first request, which is the law in Florida, they've hung up by then!
I don't answer numbers I don't recognize anymore. I dialed back using *67 to hide my caller ID. A recording said "this number is not in service". This is just another scammer using a spoofed number.
