I just received a call and based on what previous commenters stated the call is supposed to be from Chase Bank. I highly doubt that the call is legit because I don't do any business with this bank. Also, banks are not going to cold call people who are not already doing business with their institution. Banks call on their customers who have granted the bank permission to market new products to the customer. Banks may send credit card offers via junk mail addressed to "resident" or "current occupant", but definitely not cold call non-customers with credit card offers. Clearly, it's a scam.
Really, there's not much to say. Just another one of "them." Same formula as all the others. Phone rings, unfamiliar number is displayed, I let it go to voice mail, robodialer hangs up, no message is left. That describes 90% of the calls I receive.
Called me today saying they could lower my interest rate on my credit card, told them I did not have a card and could not have one as I had just got out of prison for credit card fraud! They hung up on me!!
