I have been receiving calls from this number 3-4 times a day every day for the last 3 weeks. The caller asks for Fred and tells me that my loan has been approved
I have reason to believe this number belongs to a phone scammer saying they work for cash america and says they will give me a loan for $1000 and I qualified for it after payment to them by way of money express. I still have all 3 receipts for payment; $70 application fee, $90 credit and $80 for final payment approval but no loan given instead another call saying pay $120 for $3000 loan...wtf...I hung up they won't explain anything else
It's a scam. To ask a fee - for ANY reason, to obtain a loan is illegal in every State of the USA. The extra charges are to string you along & get as much out of you as they can, until you figure out it's a scam. It is.
This company called me one day, and when I answered the first time no answer, so I hung up. Next time they called, they said they approved my loan. I then told them, I did not want a loan, hadn't applied for a loan, and to remove my name and number from their list. They then called me later that evening again. I then told them again, not to call me. They called me twice the next day. the first time they called, their number came up on my phone . After that their call always came up, Without Caller ID. So today i called their number. Took about ten calls to get someone to answer the phone. When they answered, said it was Cash Advance of America. Again instructed them not to call me. And then filed complaint with FTC.
