Renee Wrathers, requested to speak to our CEO by name. She indicated she was calling on behalf of Steve Watson who in turn was calling on behalf of Jim Athans(sp?) who is interested in purchasing our company. After attempting to vish, wheedle, and pry, around for more information, she continued to say: If our CEO (who in our company, I have been wells assured, would NOT be involved with this particular process), OR the person responsible for our finances, were interested they were to call her, excuse me, Steve Watson at 954-586-1000.
A Linda called saying she was with New York Associates asking for our CEO by name also. They call quite often and I am guessing she wanted the same thing that the above posted said (buying the company) which would never happen since out company is employee owned and operated. So to all the receptionists out there, if you know your companies CEO and know they would not entertain the idea of a buyout, I'd ask them to remove your number from their call list.
Same as the above posts....I'm the Exec Asst to the CEO and received a voicemail from New York Associates. It sounded like this person was calling from an airport - extremely loud background announcements...very strange message about wanting to buy our company..
Called for a CEO that retired several years ago. I asked to be removed from the calling list and the caller "Chris" kept right on talking, berating and bullying me to get to my CEO or CFO to discuss buying our company. I just kept asking for his supervisor or the name of his supervisor. He got tired and hung up. Amateur. This isn't my first day at the rodeo. Total scam operation.
