yeah as reported above the number is associated with an IRS scam. When I called the guy out he got personal, said he blanked my wife and he was going to kick my a$$. Made several call back to him but after the first two he quit answering. Have some of your friends call I'm sure they will love it.
Just got a call and automated voicemail from the number. Automated voicemail said that IRS was suing me. Knew it was a scam right away. Also, FYI, if the IRS is going to audit you etc, they would send something via mail versus calling from a personal cell phone (what I learned from some sleuthing).
Received this minutes ago. "To get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number (917) 373-8725. I repeat (917) 373-8725. Thank you." Computer voice recording. IRS Scam junk.
I received the call today - answered - and it was a recording saying that is was the IRS - and that they have been trying to reach me - and this was the 'final notice' - then nothing. I researched the number 917-373-8725.
