Received a message stating they are from "U.S. Document Services and that they have been retained to deliver documents involving a "pending complaint". I"if you'd like to cancel, suspend, reschedule or redirect tomorrow's delivery you are required to contact your issuing agent at (866)809-7595". They threaten if you don't contact them by end of the day they will be forced to verify the address and phone number as correct for acceptance.
The call is carefully worded to illicit fear because they imply that they will go to your workplace etc. I'm unable to determine who these people actually are but, if there are documents coming to you, there is nothing this company would be able to do to stop it. They are clearly trying to scare people who may owe a debt into giving them money or info. Again, if you are being sued by anyone, why would you cooperate/help them gain info against you? Whoever these people are, they have the means to intimidate you. Even if you do have outstanding debts, they have more resources than you do-don't be intimidated into making their jobs easy! If anyone knows , more about these people I'd like to know.
The # 917-387-3025 and a variety of similar numbers has been calling my entire family in search of "serving legal documents". When I ask who is calling they say "US Document Services". I simply repeat to not call again and as this is a regurgitated process (same soup, same script, just a different #), we are getting stronger about avoiding their inquiries for address, social security numbers etc and we ask for their information for reporting THEM. This has incredibly gone on randomly for over 4 years - different numbers, different callers but the exact script and clearly they link family members (easily done in today's technology). It is quite alarming and without a doubt preys on one's weakness and fear. I am actually thankful they linked us to our daughter so we could show them how you don't mess with mama's chickies! Wish it wasn't so easy for these scam companies to reinvent themselves so quickly with new VOIP numbers and P.O. Boxes. Phone calls are rare in these days of emails and text messages so they really do noticably stand out. Spread the word to give NO information, especially avoid verifying your personal information including your address. Don't respond, just ask them where you can meet them to get the "documents". If it is out of town, tell them you will send a "document services courier" HA!

I forgot to mention they called my cell and it came up as "no caller ID". This isn't the first call I'd received from them--maybe the third. I'll admit what they say sounds scary but don't be afraid. They are fishing for info. I just wish a caller ID came up so I could block them. As I said they'd called before and NOTHING happened the next day after I ignored them.
