This is a new scam. I don't know how it works but when you advertise something on Kijiji someone texts offering a ridiculous sum for shipping to his fiancé or whatever [***] and asks for your paypal account number. I guess that's the first step in either getting youre item for free or using your paypal account to buy stuff, but anyway it's a pretty lame scam.

"New", it has been around for several years. They claim they pay you through your account which is why they want the information. They overpay you and want you to wire the difference to the "shipper" or "mover" or whatever by Western Union. The paypal turns out to be fake and you are out whatever money you sent them. They do it with checks also.
Had to make sure and Google the number. Thanks for the info. I didn't have a PayPal account anyways as he kept asking. But I knew something was fishy about this. It wasn't a call but 'they' were texting me.
