A foreign male who was reading from a script called my work telephone number. He knew my first and last name and said he was with Sage software and wanted to know if he could send an e-mail with their product offerings and updates (he listed off my work e-mail address as well). He said before he could send the e-mail, he had to verify information and started rambling off my company's address. I hung up on him. He tried calling back, but I picked up the phone and immediately hung it up again. I didn't get a good feeling about him asking all of the questions to get confirmation that the information he had was accurate. Some of his questions were ones that required "yes" and "no" answers. I know some places do this to get you to answer a certain way and edit the phone conversation to make it appear like you agreed to certain charges and things. I'm not sure if that's what this was, but I was uncomfortable and had no interest in what they had to offer.
