Very peculiar call. Woman with very heavy southern accent (almost unintelligible to me in Northeast) read from a script about how I should call my governor (she couldn't pronounce his name) about AirB&Bs and how they're hurting low income housing in NYC. When I asked what organization she was with, she said that it was just people calling for themselves and they got my name from voter registration rolls. She obviously didn't know anything about the subject herself. It's a real issue, but I have no idea whether this call was legitimate or not. They had also called a few days ago and hung up.
Got calls from this number several times. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, but my answering machine is on to screen calls. The caller chose not to leave a message.
