Yes, I got the same call (many, in fact). He had a heavy Indian accent. I played along with him for a while, then asked him what my SS# was, knowing he really wasn't calling from the IRS. He wound up using major profanity and told me to go F____ myself!

I received this message weeks ago from this number. Today 3/26/16 I received the very same message from another number.advising me that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. I find this hysterically funny if it were not so sad.
Apparently because of my name they think I am afraid and will respond. I am thinking of doing the following from the IRS. If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you’ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484.
You can file a complaint using the FTC Complaint Assistant; choose “Other” and then “Imposter Scams.” If the complaint involves someone impersonating the IRS, include the words “IRS Telephone Scam” in the notes.
