Only legitimate businesses abide by the do not call list. These calls are from scammers who have no interest in abiding by any laws. They m ouhe country.

Yes! This tactic has been most successful for me--why didn't I think of it sooner. Because I work from home I turned off answering machine couple months ago and these calls stop completely after ~5 attempts. Guess when phone is never answered 'they' assume it's a dead # and it's purged from their hit lists. This call today is new; will be fun to see how long it takes to lose this loser.
Just called to ask to speak to the person in charge of the electric bill. Told them no one here in charge of the electric bill and then hung up on them. Scammers. I shouldn't have answered the phone but I was busy and didn't have a chance to look at the "fake caller ID number" (like all of the scam calls are!). Normally, I don't answer numbers that I don't know & let the calls go to voicemail. Should've this time! LOL! Don't answer this number.
