It's not BS. The DNC list doesn't apply to charities, only to telemarketers. And only legitimate telemarketers follow it anyway. Scammers could care less about it.
They also called me and I didnt answer but called back and it was some type of charity that states if you are on dont call list they are exempt from not be allowed to call you which is bs to me.

You seem to lack reading comprehension. She is correct, the DNC does not apply to callers soliciting for charities no matter how little of the monies collected actually supports the cause nor was she claiming the caller was a legitimate charity. This is truly a case of caveat emptor since it requires the potential donor to research the charity for themselves and scammers can spoof caller ID and pretend to be soliciting for the charity. It's not her fault the DNC law and rules were written solely to cover unsolicited sales calls. Complain to Congress if you want that changed.
I have no vested interest in this or any other scam, nor was I defending them. I was simply pointing out the facts. The DNC only applies to telemarketers. Charities, whether real or scams, do not fall under the DNC.
