They call me at least 10-15 times a day or on some days, 2 times during every hour. They will start right out at 8:01 am and call until 8:59pm. I have answered a few times and no one answers. I actualy have a credit card through GE Money and my boyfriend pays on it but because I was the co-signer, I am getting all the harrassing phone calls. When I did call them and try to work out a payment plan, they refused to work with us. My boyfriend has had the card for 3 years and his FIRST late payment was in november of 09'! And they wont work with us??? Do they have any idea what is going on in this economy? Right now we are paying them $100 a month and yet they keep calling because they want more then that. I don't know what else to do!!!!
If you want to work with them all you have to do is mention bankrupcy most will get verry interested in working with you at that point - thay know if you file chapter 7 then thay get nothing - if you file 11 all thay get is what the courts give them - if chapter 11 is filed and thhay still call wanting more send a coppy of phone records to your lawyer trust tha will stop the calling and pos. get a nice fine to boot -
well i tryed to reason with theas people ( lol ) i simply dont anser the phone when thay call and we are down to 2 - 3 calls a day - i only have one way out of my det and that it chapter 7 so thay can call til they get blue in the face - i may have to start over but i did it once i can do it again. After a week in the hospital from complications from stres all i need to do is keep the lights on, water, gas, and nesasery car ins. everything els realy dont matter. DONT LET THEM GET YOU DOWN. IF YOU ARE MAKING PAYMENTS AND THAY TAKE THEM DONT LET THEM BULLY OR INTIMIDATE YOU IN TO PAYING MORE THAN YOU CAN.
GE Money Bank. I have Care Credit, working very hard to pay balance in full so I can tell them to put their card where the sun don't shine. If you have an AT&T phone, turn on the reject calls option and make a rejected numbers list. You may still get a voice mail, but I have found that most of these hyenas don't bother to leave a message. I know that you will still lose phone minutes but it does minimize the annoyance.
