Got VM from someone named "John" from the what sounded like APG but I could be wrong. Said that he was calling regarding my Ohio power electric account at my address. Said it's very important I call him back. I don't even have an electric account where I live, it's all utilities included so it's a scam
very assertive man wanting me to get my bill so he could give me a rebate because the rates went down I know the electric company won't call you to give you money they just deduct/add from/to the next bill but this guy wanted to give me a check so while i was supposed to be going to get my bill i actually went to grab the wife's phone to call the number that he was calling from and it was no surprise that it would not connect. so i hung up on the phone he was on and he called back immediately 4 more times before stopping . My guess is it was a big fat scam to get my account # for my checking account.

Received 2 VM from a woman and then a man from" AP and E" ?(not sure), who were very hard to understand. Wanted to talk to me about the payment of my AEP (electric) bill. Wanted to me to call them back immediately at 1-800-210-9011 X1400 to discuss my account. I knew my bills were paid so I called my electric company and they stated these calls were not prompted by them and sounds like a scam.
