A lot of spammers are spoofing local southwest Ohio phone numbers to make recipients think someone local is calling. These are political calls, fake sales for medical devices, phony charity solicitations, surveys and so forth. All are up to no good, other than wasting your time. Caller ID says "Out of area," but that is not what the Area Code number suggests. That's your tip-off to block such calls.
