This number called me early this morning and woke me up...I said Hello, "they" said nothing so, since I was already awake...I just laid the phone down and waited for "them" to disconnect. "They waited about a minute and a half.

This is a SCAM marketing organization asking for donations for sick children, which don't exist. Here's how I handled it 1. Ask if they are a registered 501 (c) 3 organization? Generally the jerk on the phone won't know and will say their a tax free charity (Great, that's what you want to hear) 2. Ask what their IRS TAX Free Status ID Charity number is, again jerk won't know, but is getting nervous now. 3. Ask what states they are registered in, tell them you are checking with your states Attorney Generals Office to verify the information the jerk is providing. 4. Ask for the callers name, employee number and present location (city and state) This is generally where they hand up and remove you from their call list. Now BLOCK, BLOCK, BLOCK the number and start sleeping late. Worked for me. Don't let them skirt around your questions keep pressing them for answers and stay on topic, get the information, even if you have to ask for a supervisor, director, boss or CEO. Grab them by their nuts and their Hearts and Souls will follow. You need to control the conversation, remember they are morons who can only read from a script and once you get them off script, you've won the SCAM phone call.
