Received a call from this number today, (Sunday! of all days, is nothing sacred to these guys?). They did not leave a message but I see it is yet another number used by the "charity" for Florida Law Enforcement Officers. Over the last two weeks I have been called by at least 6 different numbers from all over the state from this so called "charity". They have in the past harassed me to the point I felt I was going to be targeted by law enforcement if I didn't pay up by using men with very strong aggressive voices to scare me. Funny, I've never received a call from a woman from this "charity". They have also harassed my mother who is in her 70's, telling her that she OWED them money because on an earlier call they claim she said she would donate. They picked the wrong senior to try to confuse because my mother's memory is sharp and she chewed them out for lying to her. One of her favorite things to do when she gets an unwanted call is to talk to them for a few seconds, then tell them to hang on for a second, she has something cooking on the stove, she will be right back with them. Then she sets the phone down and goes about whatever she was doing before they called. They are left on "HOLD" for as long as their greed allows them. Time to make a formal complaint to the Senate and House of Representatives for MOB like tactics to force money out of people, repeated calls from different numbers, for calling very late in the evening, on Saturday and worst of all, on Sunday, a day of worship, not business. How many people are intimidated into donating? It should be illegal for any type of charity representing law enforcement to even exist due to fear of reprisal, real or imagined.
"Knee"? Really iPad?
I meant to say "number" in the post above, but Apple felt "knee" was much more appropriate. Darn me for not reviewing my posts first. Lol, sorry!
Caller asserted he represented Florida police association and wanted contributions. Since I pay my own mortgage I decided I did not want to contribute to his rent.
