I did speak to someone. They were looking for my son. Didn't want to leAve a message. Was very rude and hung up n me. I do know that if they are trying to recover a medical debt chances are hey bought the debt from the hospital or dr office and my lawyer said that if he hasn't made a payment in a year then you not obligated. Tell them to pound salt.
Has called several times & no message is left. I do not answer unknown numbers. I'm guessing this is either a telemarketer or a debt recovery agency. Number is now blocked.
I decided to call this number back since I was unable to find any info online. It went straight to a recording stating this was Capio & Associates or Capio Partners & this call was being recorded for business &/or training purposes. Upon doing research of Capio Partners, they are a medical debt collection agency. Number is now blocked. I have no interest in finding out who they are looking for, since regardless if it is me or someone else, any interactions will lead to further harassing calls & being disabled, unemployed & in constant pain, I have no need to be anymore stressed than I already am. Should this be my actual debt, I have no intention of paying this, as I own nothing & unable to be employed. America should have national medical coverage to cover everyone. Instead ER depts refuse to treat the uninsured as fairly as they treat insured patients. Uninsured patients in pain seeking diagnostic intervention & emergency care are over charged for treatments never received & they black list them as drug seekers. No one should pay to be humiliated & charged for services NOT RENDERED for seeking emergency care. Call me a dead beat. Call me a pill seeker. Call me anything. It doesn't fix our broken healthcare system designed to make profits off of people & are more often than not, never actually used in the best interests of patient care. Unless, you have great insurance, aren't sick & have a fat wallet. For the rest of us, we have only pain & humiliating medical experiences. I am not alone in this.
