Got a call from this number a few weeks ago trying to scam me with a MoneyPak scam. A guy named "Davis" that "works for UPS" tells you that you've won a sweepstakes for a boat load of money, but you have to pay taxes first. To pay the taxes you have to get a MoneyPak card and put $500 on it. Then you give them the Serial Number on the MoneyPak card so they can "pay the taxes for you". THIS IS A SCAM. Do not put money on a MoneyPak card and give anyone the Serial Number.
When I called him out on it, he kept denying it and saying that he really was a UPS employee. I told him to screw himself and the he told me to F*** Myself. That is when I hung up.
I finally just blocked his number after he harassed me some more.
I have started to get calls from this number, as well.
First it was a woman - and she said to me that my child had been in a terrible crash. She was sobbing. Then hung up. Any mother's nightmare! Right! So then immediately the phone rang again. Some man says to me that they can all of the information about the terrible crash right away - but they have to have $300 sent to them right away.
I just hung up and the phone has rang about 6 more times. Two voice mails - and only background noise recorded.
i received some of these calls it was music in the background and a man was speaking to me i could really understand him. he asked me why i was calling his woman its was so strange.i will have this blocked.
Person left message saying he was a detective from a police department on Long Island that he wants to talk with me because I might have been involve in a hit and run. Left no number.
