Received voice message from 951-386-9708 this AM, a robotic voice said the IRS was filing a law suit against me. This is an illegal scam, period. A complaint was made to the Federal Trade Commission and my local police.
I received a miss call from (951) 386-9708
called back & they said I owed the irs
I just recieved my return & in reality the irs will garnish your return if you owe.
They threaten to call the cops on me over this "debt" I wasn't aware of & I laughed In his face
But my question is how did they know my number & address ? Scary !
got a call but asked who they wanted to speak with. they said they were looking for a mr bermudez and told them they had the wrong number. my call also started with the same irs lawsuit message. ive called the irs and it takes hours for them to answer so i was skeptical form the start. glad thise site verified it was a scam
The IRS does not need to sue anyone. They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office. Several of them. Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for. Again delivered by the Post Office. Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own. If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge? They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

Got the same call just now. All were Indian accented people with wonderful phony names like Don Ford, Nancy Jack, and there is a lot of noise in the background. This scam must be huge since there was a bullpen of people. They told me IRS was suing me for 8,000 for past due taxes. They had phone ID, thought I was my wife who has an unusual name and also knew of my son who is an adult living at my home. I went from a phony agent, to supervisor, and then an attorney. I continue blasting them with questions which is why they continued to pass me off. Fortunately, I know an IRS agent and he has this info. I hope they CRUSH them.
