Same IRS SCAM threatening call recipient as others have noted. I do wish the landline and cell service vendors would exert effort to do what they can to ID the thugs responsible for these crimes targeted to old adults and others. We all need to continue to report these scams to FTC AND TREASURY DEPT on-line complaint sites.
Just got a call from the IRS the voicemail that was recorded call from 952-552-7703 don't Disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you goodbye and take care. Are these people stupid or what, If the IRS need to contact you they only do it by mail. If you’re not sure whether a call is really from the IRS, you can double-check by calling the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040.
Just want to add this additional information. f you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, here’s what you should do:
If you know you owe taxes or you think you might owe taxes, call the IRS at 1.800.829.1040. The IRS employees at that line can help you with a payment issue, if there really is such an issue.
If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you’ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to TIGTA at 1.800.366.4484.
You can file a complaint using the FTC Complaint Assistant; choose “Other” and then “Imposter Scams.” If the complaint involves someone impersonating the IRS, include the words “IRS Telephone Scam” in the notes.
I have received three phone calls from this number today claiming that I owed the I.R.S
Money due to a law suit. I just spoke with the person "in charge " and he identified himself as an officer of the law, he then explained that it was all a mix up and probably some hackers.
