The name of this firm is "SPRINGBOARD". They are connected with a variety of firms dealing with "assisting" (used in quotes for a reason) individuals or businesses who were being taken advantage of by mortgage companies (such as Household finance). Years ago, I was involved with a predatory loan company and attempted to seek the help of a firm who advertised it could help. Fortunately, I discovered in time the firm was even worse than my mortgage company and rated "F" by the local "BBB". I have no clue as to how "Springboard" got my info. I NEVER answer any of these phone calls---but because the name "Springboard" was in the caller ID, I erred in answering the phone. The person on the phone stated t I had dealings with a loan modification firm. I immediately replied that such data was private and terminated the call. I then blocked the number: which I should have done earlier.
the color is springboard there from Riverside County California and yes I did talk to them but six years ago to consolidate credit it seems to me the companies are really not worth its salt if they wait six years to return the phone call
Springboard is a legit nonprofit organization offering a wide variety of financial information and resources to the general public...from helping people who have gotten caught up with a predatory finance company, are in danger of foreclosure, are considering taking out a loan and aren't sure which kind would be least expensive, to just wanting an online calculator to determine how much interest they can save by adding a few extra $s to their monthly mortgage payment. Their website... springboard.org ...has a wealth of free information.
Legit non-profit company that offers credit counseling, and then referrals to your local agencies, organizations that MIGHT be able to assist with: utility payment assistance, food banks, etc. In essence those of us in need of help, those that are facing financial hardship. In my case they were helping me research any/all resources-for information on a possible home mortgage loan modification. My lender wasn't being too helpful in my initial dealings with them, so Springboard was acting as a sort of mediator, by providing me suggestions on how I might improve my finances. There are many "approved" non-profits out there that perform this type of service, mediation. In my dealings with Springboard they have been the most professional; most helpful by ensuring I had all of the information I needed before our counseling session ended. Honestly I can't say enough to recommend Springboard to anyone else in need of this type of financial counseling, plus other local agency information.
