On my 'Metro Name ID' it's not the sheriff, as most here reported, but a known & reported scammer. On 'Metro Name ID' if the number is a known scammer, telemarketer, etc, it will just auto block. So anyway, don't give money, etc.
Just like the one guy said when he told the caller no he kept calling. A sheriff would stop once told to do so.
Broward County Sheriff said they do not have to comply with no call list because ther are non profit .HE HAD MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER & I live on opposite coast ! Told him to stop calling me I would not be given him [***] he wanted to argue continued to call me every 30 min after I hung up on him!
