Called three times this evening using THIS number.
Called twice yesterday using a SIMILAR number (last digit 8 instead of 3). In both cases their calls were diverted by a service I subscribe to that intercepts robo-dialed calls (rhymes with SoNoHobo).
I called back (*67) and got a prerecorded message, "This is CMI Research. We are a strictly political organization and are not trying to sell you anything. If you would like to be placed on our Do Not Call list...."
I Googled "CMI Research" and they are identified as being in metro Atlanta, Perimeter Mall area, so the use of the 954 Area Code PLUS not having that name in their caller I.D. made me suspicious. (Not that I would EVER] tell ANY of these cold callers my number for supposed DNC purposes). When I looked at the Google results, one person had made a note like Good luck ever getting paid with these people. Needless to say, my suspicions were even more enhanced.
When I got the same pattern of calls tonight — not just two but three attempts — AND from a different number (again, last digit being 8 instead of 3). I thought it worthwhile reporting all of this here. I've pasted this explation and exploration on the page for yesterday's number, too.
BTW, using two different numbers [(2) without an idenifying I.D. (3) from an Area Code your office is not in] is even greater reason to suspect some chicanery and dishonesty.
These calls from this number is totally annoying. I called the number back and requested that whoever the proprietor is, not to call my telephone again on May 9, 2017. Since then I have received five more calls. Can someone do something about these annoying and persistent calls?
