That is definitely a scam. They tell you that if you do not pay them, Federal Agents are coming to arrest you. That is false, any federal agency will contact you with a letter. They won't come and arrest you. It's a Turnip Head trying to scare you into giving them money or access to your account. One day I answered, "Washington State Sheriff's Office, Deputy Lohr speaking." They hung up on me and didn't call back.
It some moron with a middle eastern (Indian) accent trying to get personal information and stating he is from "the medical insurance agency". I just told the idiot that he was calling a Federal Government owned telephone, that I knew it was a scam and that he was now under Federal investigation. I doubt he'll call again. Lol
He called me twice today, once at 7:15 am and 11:45 pm. I told him that it was only 7:15 am in Calif. , he said "oh sorry wrong number". Yet he called again asking a lot of personal questions about my health at 11:45 am. "Steven" LOL, said that I am entitled to a large amount of money. I could hardly understand him, his Indian accent was so heavy. I said no to all of his questions about my health, he hung up without saying goodbye.I am on the Gov. do not call list, but it isn't really helping. I think I will say what ChelBell said the next time I get a scam call.
