Yeah, the continuous warranty scam? I just let the machine get it. But, I do like the idea about telling them to hang on while get the person they want and see how long they stay on the line. Maybe the next time they call I'll try that.
Be firm and take immediate control of the call. Tell them to put away their "script," because now it's your script and your script only that counts. Tell them to take your # off of their call list [they have 30 days to comply or you can sue them in small claims court for x number ($1500?) of dollars]. I would also tell them that not only this call, but any future calls from them are "dead-on-arrival," and at this point all we are doing is wasting each others time. I believe if we would all do this it might start to make a difference. At least it's a step in taking back control of our phones by taking these weasels head-on.
Woman called and was AGAIN advised I do not own the car she was trying to sell a worthless warranty for. She then mouthed off and said she never called me before so she wouldn't know that, and hung up. Gosh I feel bad for the people that drink the kool-aid these losers sell.
Not only do I not own this vehicle anymore I can't get Chevrolet Headquarters to remove my information to stop receiving mail regarding a car that was sold over 6 years ago!! Some day they'll have to realize it's probably scrapped. In the meantime I continue to get calls for a warranty on current vehicle. I've gotten a call from about 26 states & about 20 times in my own. It'll never end. Thanks Dodge for selling my name, address & phone number!!
