Seems like this may be another ploy to get around the DO NOT CALL list. Recorded message started out that this was a survey on "the nation's debt crisis" and for participating in the survey I will receive a free two day cruise to the Bahamas. All I needed was to pay gratuities and a small port tax.
When I did a call back on the number I got the same recording so the company might be legit. My concern is once I accept a call from this number it would allow future calls based on my doing prior business. Being as I am on the permanent DO NOT CALL list they should not be calling in the first place.
Rec'd call from this number; Per caller i.d. call came from Gresham, OR; Have rec'd multiple calls with pre-recorded messages re: lowering interest rates from Bozeman, MT, Salt Lake City, UT and Attica, OH. If a live person comes on the line they ask for all kinds of personal and financial information. If you ask any questions, they immediately hang-up. NEVER give out information.
I just received an illegal fax tone from this number priro to 12:22 p.m., 9-15-11. I interrrupted the incoming fax and perfromed a *57 trace on the incoming number. I had had my fax line incocming numbers traced before by the police;however, for some reason no one seemed to pick up on the recentnt nussiance call procedure again this time after i derpessed the *57 and waited to st=rat the trace all over again; however, I have every intention of taking further action. In addition, I plant to reprot this to the Do Not Call List, also. Both my pesoanl home tlehone number and my fax loen /fax phone line are listed on the Do NOt Call List. Due to a prepnderance of junk faxes, I tend to keep my fax machine OFF. I was not expecting to receive a fax, this mroning. I am also tired of receving theses unsolicted nuissance telehone and fax solicitation calls.
