Ongoing calls from The Law Group. They never leave a message. They must stop calling. If they wish to speak to me they must leave a message, as I don't answer misc. callers ...
After having received more than 13 calls from this number within the past week and having reported the number to the FCC (I am on the Do Not Call list) I finally answered today. Earlier today, I had also tried to call the number back, to learn that it's disconnected.
The person on the other end claimed to be a man named Mitchell (or Mitch) Vera from the Rosen Law Center in Irvine, CA. Interestingly, if you call their phone number (949-363-6908), it's also disconnected. I told "Mitchell" I didn't think he was who he said he was and he became very abusive, asking me repeatedly whether I'm ignorant and yelling at me over the phone. I hung up on him and he tried immediately to call me back.
Here's what I decided to do:
1. Call the phone company. If, like me, you're with AT&T, they offer a call blocking service in cases of harassment.
2. Call law enforcement and let them know. This is not OK.
3. Update my FCC complaint to say that I think this number has been spoofed.
