I get calls from this number that say they were with an academic advisory company. I am unemployed and I dont have money to go to school and it upsets me that they prey on the unemployed!
Just called me this morning about "continuing education". I told them I didn't sign up for anything of the sort and she apologized and hung up.
Ridiculous as they called early in the morning. Some people are still asleep!
I just received a call from them. If you use either Pearson Vue or Prometric to schedule an exam (I have scheduled IT exams using both) they will call you. I literally put my info on prometric 5 minutes ago and they have already called twice. I'm not sure if they have an agreement with them or they just somehow scam the number, but just be prepared for them to call.
I just got one too, and I think it has to do with the job search I've been doing. I starting applying for jobs online last week and since then I've had 2 strange numbers calling me and not leaving a message. The first call was minutes after I entered my info (including phone number) on an employment web site.P3J3
We got one today from this phone number. Why are Americans calling Canadians??? I don't use USPS however I did just cancel my WEN hair product account because the products dry out my hair and I gave them heck for selling junk. So I will not longer buy American. Did you know Americans private info is in tons of websites like SPokeo?
But to be fair, I just got a call from Famtel in Barrie, ONtario which I believe is a scam though they say they work for Royal Bank of Canada. The Royal Bank acted though like Famtel is NOT with them...so how did they get my phone number?
I think we NEED to start shopping in person again. Stop buying online?
