I have both me cell & home numbers on the DNC list but continually get calls from this company! Have demanded that they remove me from their call list and never call again but they continue under different numbers. They asked to put a security sign in my yard, didn't even say what the name of the company is called! Stupid!
Got a call from this number and it came up as PacTel. The number is from Gresham, OR. I didn't answer but they put a recorded message on my answering service about security and allowing them to put a sign in front of our house and installing a security system in. Then they asked on the recording to push certain numbers to either go for it or be put on the Do Not Call List, which I already am. One thing I noticed about some of the scammer calls is the recording starts in a middle of a sentence and then goes on about why they are calling. This call did that exact thing too.
Just called here - with spoofed name of PACTEL- recorded message about FBI reports that there's a break-in burglary every 2 minutes, and they just happen to want to offer you a FREE alarm system just for putting a sign in your front yard. Press 1 to speak to someone or 9 to be removed. I pressed 1 to ask why the hell they came up as PACTEL on caller ID. A man came on the phone and said, "hello, I understand you are interested in home security, are you the homeowner?" Before I could say, "no, actually I was wondering..." He hung up! BS SCAMMERS
Unsolicited sales call for home alarm systems. You can't call the number back; it says it is a disconnected number, so the nefarious [***] are spoofing the number. Therefore, even reporting this number to the DO NOT CALL list complaints does no good. Somebody needs to find these guys and have a good old fashioned blanket party on their [***]!
