Who called from 9712209336

They are harassing me calling me about someone who never had my phone number nor lives at this address nor lives in this state. I have told them that and they say they will take my number out but that was just a lie.   I am almost 80 and in bad health and need my rest. Who are these people that break the law and Harassing people that do not owe anyone anything. They need to be arrested and locked up.
I looked it up and they are from Gresham, OR.  If any one can help. PLEASE DO!!!

People I want to call me know how to reach me.
As far as my landline, it is set on fax.
When these annoying calls come, all they get is a screech.
I have never owed any money to anyone.

This is a collection agency for Capital One. They do not properly identify themselves as a separate entity when you return their calls.

I get 2 or 3 calls a week always asking for someone different. Do these morons just make up a name to ask for when they call? I have had this number for almost 5 years so it can't be for someone who recently had it.

they call two or three times and hang up each time, inducing you to call back. When you do they tell you they have a personal business matter to discuss. They are rude and nasty. The best way to handle them is to record. let them know you are recording and turn the CD over to the Federal Trade Commission.
