called- asking for specific name , said they wanted to make an appt. to come to our home to update the security device (take approx. 30 mins). said they did not represent the company we have but our monthly payment would decrease from $39.95 to $34.95 and it would be locked in for lifetime. Said they were General Electric and are updating all security devices in the area. Tried to set up appts-- they changed it 3 times and then said they would call back next week as the installer was in Seattle area. Spoke to 3 or 4 different people and unfortunately I gave them my address. the more I spoke to them the phishier it got. I called the company that we have for our security and they said it was not them.
This number keeps calling. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, but they won't leave a message and continue to call every day, multiple times.
I have been looking it up online and have found a few people saying that they are sales people. I don't even want to get on the phone with them, but feel I should answer and tell them to remove me from their list.
Okay, update on this number. They are from Sirius XM, and I used to have service for satellite radio but recently discontinued it due to the excessive cost.
Just know that they are simply trying to sell you service for their satellite radio. Now, I can safely block them completely with my cell phone app.
